A few weeks ago I was notified via email that I’d be selected to participate in an Aveeno #VoxBox and last week I shared with you what I’d received!
I received a full size version (1.1 fl oz) of Aveeno Positively Radiant Targeted Tone Corrector. The targeted treatment is supposed to help reduce the look of stubborn dark spots, discolorations, and uneven tone to improve skin’s radiance in just 2 weeks. The concentrated formula combines clinically proven ACTIVE NATURALS® Total Soy Complex, one of nature’s most effective tone correctors, with vitamin A for faster results. It is oil free, noncomedogenic and nonirritating.
I’ve been using it for 5 days now and though I haven’t noticed a major difference (it does say 2 weeks!), I did notice that a 90% healed blemish (from before using the product) is completely gone at this point. It could be pure coincidence because it nearly healed or it could be the tone corrector doing its thang. I’m using it on my cheeks where I have some scaring from acne and will update you if and when I see a difference there! The corrector is light, blends virtually clear into skin, dries quickly, and more importantly hasn’t made my skin dry, oily, or breakout in fact I’d say my skin’s a little bit more #RadiantWithAVEENO.
Have you tried Aveeno’s Positively Radiant Target Tone Corrector?

I made a trip to Sephora this weekend and scored some samples that I’ll be sharing my thoughts on later in the week, stay tuned!
Today’s going to be a three post type of day people, all because of Jorts.
This morning started off as a any morning would – wake up late, dry half my hair, hit the road, arrive at work, take the 3 tab approach to my Google Chrome: Gmail, Feedly, Facebook.
That’s when things began to change, as I am scrolling through my newsfeed on the good ole FB I see that Emily’s posted about DIY Jorts, I double click her post to open it in a new tab and continue scrolling through pictures of beach babies, news on emmy nods, until I see Katie’s posted about jorts too. I think to myself, coincidence? Probably, and double click to open her blog as well. Before I read either, it’s back to the newsfeed, this is where things got weird Marissa and Viv also were posting about jorts. Newsfeed complete, onto reading the actual posts where mystery is finally solved there was a commonality amongst the four – Sauza Tequila.
Not only do I like all of their creations, I sort of think I want to try my hand at a pair of jorts this weekend since I have yet to find the perfect pair to fit this oddly shaped body of mine yet, but more importantly to Sauza Tequila, I kind want to make a margarita like NOW. I would say social media/marketing job well done Sauza Tequila – I want to try the project and drink the drink. Bravo!
Which style do you like the best?
If your a blogger participating in this Sauza social campaign – show me you jorts!
Have a margarita recipe to use with that Sauza Tequila I’ll be purchasing before the week is over, send it over I’d love to featured on LWR!
Password therapy// The last week in December my computer at work prompted me to change my password, I always used the common monikers in the past some word + year, etc. but something prompted me to make my password my daily affirmation. I was going to plugging this phrase into my computer multiple times a day at the very least five days a week for the next 90 days. I’m can’t remember if I had read this idea somewhere or came up with it on my on, but I’ve been keeping up with this practice since that day in December and it has helped me think positively ever time I log in that things will change – why? Because it worked for this guy. So it will work for me too.
Beauty Routines // So remember when I shared my beauty routine and I said I was going out that weekend to do a complete beauty haul. Well reality set in (aka penniless) and so did a tan, whats the mean? I haven’t worn makeup aside from mascara and blush that aren’t empty I haven’t worn any makeup, I’ve also since had to dip into my shower goodies in my gym back for shampoo and conditioner oh and I’ve been using the extra conditioner I have as body wash, ya think I need to get myself to a CVS, Ulta, Sephora, Target stat or what? I’m sort of happy I’ve waited to do my binge buy because this week I’ve read about some really great products on some other blogs.
DIY // When I first began writing her on LWR I connected with the DC Ladies on Twitter (@TheDCLadies) and I instantly added them to my Feedly (speaking of Feedly, am I the only one not using Bloglovin’ ? I find Feedly to be more similar to my old faithful Google Reader and haven’t been able to get used to Bloglovin’, advise me!). Despite living 500 miles from Washington, D.C. I am in love with their site – they chat about everything from Fashion & Beauty to Career & Money to Travel & DIY and so much more and of course I’ve bookmarked some of their dining out suggestions for whenever I visit Kate in DC. Yesterday contributor Rin Maloney shared her recent DIY Bar Tray project and now my mind is swirling about how I can apply this project to a smaller tray, maybe for jewelry or something for my dresser at the new apartment! For Christmas last year Jenn gifted me with the Design Darling Acrylic Tray (similar, mine doesn’t have background design) which if I snapped a photo right now has piles of mail, brushes, receipts, etc on it but usually displays my perfumes and lotions so I would want to make something that compliments it! I am thinking perhaps maybe a pink or orange tray with gold accents, thoughts?
This week’s Read with Red had a little bit of everything from makeup, to DIY, to daily affirmations, what are you reading about this week?
Have you ever had one of those weeks were literally every.single.one. of your makeup products runs dry? You know what I am talking about – my foundation is currently upside like a ketchup bottle so i can get the last drop out, I rolled my concealer like it was a tube of toothpaste, and scrapped the end of my blush with the last of my q-tips this morning (seriously how did I also run out of q-tips too!?!?).
So I thought I’d share with you all the products I am currently using and then ask for suggestions as I prepare to do an entire beauty HAUL this weekend.
